Gary M. Sarli, an editor and developer for the Star Wars Roleplaying Game and other related RPG guides, created Stae-Fahnti Koelbayr as a reference to comedian and talk show host Stephen Colbert, using him in 2009's Dawn of Defiance campaign, The Gem of Alderaan. In addition, the character possesses the title of D.F.A., the same that Colbert received as an honorary title.[2]
