Squad 79 was a squad of InterStellar Regulators during the Conquest of Makeb. Under the orders of Archon Szajin of the Hutt Cartel, the mercenaries engaged the Sith Empire strike team but were eliminated in the process. Prior to their assignment on Makeb, at least two members of the squad, its leader and lieutenant, served on Wayland. There they encountered a Sith who was taken out by a sniper.[1]
Behind the scenes
Squad 79 was featured in the 2013 expansion Rise of the Hutt Cartel to the video game Star Wars: The Old Republic. For some reason, a lieutenant of the squad has pauldrons with Black Sun symbols.[1]
