Spinner-webs were a type of substance.[1] In 88 BBY,[2] Jedi Initiates Sifo-Dyas and Dooku encountered spinner-webs when breaking into the Archive of Forbidden Artifacts, a secret vault of dark side artifacts located in the Jedi Archives of the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant. Dooku was repulsed by the large amounts of the spinner-webs that were present inside the vault while Sifo-Dyas paid little attention to the substance.[1]

Dooku later told his sister, Jenza, about the events in a holo-letter.[1] Around 23 BBY,[3] Dooku gave several data disks containing his messages to Jenza to his recently recruited Sith assassinAsajj Ventress—for her investigation into his sister's location, and she listened to the holo-disk that mentioned spinner-webs.[1]

Behind the scenes

Spinner-webs appeared in a flashback in the audio drama Dooku: Jedi Lost, written by Cavan Scott[1] and published on April 30, 2019.[4] The spelling of spinner-webs was confirmed by the audio drama's script release[5] on October 1 of the same year.[4]
