Spinglass was a substance naturally created by the Killiks resembling glass and used for a variety of purposes. One such purpose put to use by the Dark Nest was the creation of a billion models of the Millennium Falcon and Luke Skywalker's X-wing to be sold to citizens of the Galactic Alliance and given as gifts to members of the Fifth Fleet. However, the models were actually delivery devices for clusters of tiny Gorog assassins.
