Spined pucs were an amphibian frog-like creature. Spined pucs and giant spined pucs were native to Yavin 4.[2] Another race known as pug jumpers were native to Kashyyyk.[3] Spined pucs were named for the spiny ridges along its back and sides that carried a powerful toxin capable of blinding its victim.[2] Spined pucs had leathery hides.[1]
Behind the scenes
Spined pucs were creatures in the 2003 massively multiplayer online roleplaying game Star Wars Galaxies,[1] prior to the game's closure on December 15, 2011.[4] The concept art annotation shown in From Pencil to Pixel: The Art of Star Wars Galaxies initially identified the spined puc simply as "frog."[5]
