The Speeder Platform was a streamlined vehicle of a design closely resembling a speeder bike, employed by the Trade Federation for scouting purposes, and was lightly armed with one laser cannon. The platform seat was designed to hold one B1-series battle droid and was capable of reaching speeds of several hundred kilometers per hour. They were constructed at mech factories and were first used around the time of the Invasion of Naboo[1] in 32 BBY.[2]
Behind the scenes
Speeder platforms may be identical with the transpeeder mentioned in Arms & Equipment Guide. They first appeared in the 2001 video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds and its 2002 expansion pack. They cost 50 units of food.
