- "Following a speeder crash on Ringo Vinda, Governor Harkell sentenced the perpetrators to six months imprisonment for careless driving plus an additional ten years because the crash had damaged a bust of Emperor Palpatine, which he considered to be a serious crime against the Empire."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Speeder accident #5744182 was a file stored in the "Criminal Sentencing" section of the Ringo Vinda Archives that contained information about a speeder accident that occurred on[1] the planet[2] Ringo Vinda during the Imperial Era. Governor Harkell sentenced the perpetrators of the crash to six months imprisonment for careless driving and an additional ten years because the accident had damaged a bust of Emperor Sheev Palpatine, which Harkell considered to be a serious crime against the Galactic Empire.[1] In 35 ABY,[3] the historian Beaumont Kin cited the file in[1] his[4] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire when he mentioned the crash and used it as an example of how loosely defined an Imperial crime could be.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
