Spawning beds were the method of reproduction used by the Gree. Gree were created using a process of bio-engineering to fulfill certain roles within society, such as crafters, researchers, operators, and administrators. By the time of the Galactic Civil War, the researcher and crafter castes were not produced any longer and many believed that the Gree had lost the proper processes to create them.[1]
