Space psychosis was a deadly medical condition that could affect humans.[1] By 132 BBY,[2] the human miner Melo Tolicus succumbed to space psychosis due to the isolation and pressures of deep space mining. As a result, he killed several fellow miners. Tolicus was later arrested, and[1] in that year,[2] he was transported aboard the prison ship Palwick, during which special measures, including a parasitic dybbuk, were used to restrain and silence him.[1]
Behind the scenes
Space psychosis was mentioned in Pablo Hidalgo's 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide.[1]
