The songs of eons past were Mandalorian songs,[1] written when the planet Mandalore was green and beautiful.[3] They told of battles between Mandalore the Great, and an order of sorcerers called Jedi.[1] They also foretold of the mythosaur, a gigantic creature that was considered extinct, rising up to herald a new age of Mandalore.[2]
