The Solidarity was a recent model of Mon Calamari Star Cruiser and addition to the Alliance Fleet shortly before an assault on Kamino,[1] approximately twelve months before the Battle of Yavin.[2] A Mon Calamari Star Cruiser commanded by the Rodian Commodore Yat-De Viedas of the Corellian Resistance, who was so impressed with it he told the Alliance leadership that he would not hear a word against it. It was the location of a meeting between Mon Mothma, Princess Leia Organa, Garm Bel Iblis and Captain Juno Eclipse following the failed skirmish at Cato Neimoidia. The ship later was present at an Alliance rendezvous near the Itani Nebula, where Commodore Viedas reported an Imperial ambush, and later accompanied the rest of the fleet in a strike at the cloning hub planet Kamino which led to the capture of Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader.[1]
