Solar power was the generation of power derived from the energy from a star. Some droids used solar collectors to gather solar energy to power themselves.[1] When scavenging on Jakku, Rey found a memetic sheet and hoped that it worked with a battery, or even better; solar power.[2] The Katikoot of Aubadas got a solar power source from the Republic when the minerals they used to power their society caused widespread harm.[3]
