An individual was the apprentice of Supreme Leader Snoke^[1] a mysterious, enigmatic figure powerful with the dark side of the Force,^[3] who was secretly an artificial genetic strandcast created by the Sith Lord Darth Sidious and his followers.^[4] During the New Republic Era,^[5] the apprentice studied under Snoke before^[6] he became invested into the Skywalker bloodline and settled on Kylo Ren as a new apprentice.^[2]

The individual was first mentioned, albeit indirectly, in Star Wars: The Force Awakens: The Visual Dictionary that Kylo Ren was Snoke's most gifted apprentice, implying he had trained more than one.^[6] The Star Wars: The Last Jedi The Official Movie Companion later confirmed that Snoke had trained at least one other individual.^[1]
