Slakari-hound

Slakari-hound were hounds that fed on rotten carcasses. While in[1] the gas giant[2] Bespin's Cloud City[1] in 4 ABY,[3] the wealthy Onderonian Jintar Oarr tried to convince fellow Onderonian and Imperial loyalist Borgin Kaa to stand down when rebels raided his residence for access to a control panel there. Though Kaa felt that Oarr had a convincing enough demeanor to coax a slakari-hound away from consuming a rotten carcass, the former refused to believe that the Galactic Emperor Darth Sidious was dead, choosing to stay loyal to the Empire.[1]

Behind the scenes

Slakari-hounds were mentioned in Aftermath, a 2015 novel written by Chuck Wendig as the first installment in Star Wars: The Aftermath Trilogy.[1]
