Skyspeeders were T-47 airspeeders adapted to serve in high-altitude environments. The Alliance expanded their program of adapting T-47s for specific environments after the success of the snowspeeder. Skyspeeders were modified with pressurized cockpits for high-altitude flight and were equipped with more power repulsorlift engines.[1]
