Around 22 BBY,^[2] the Grand Army of the Republic's Skua Squad took part in a botched mission early in the Clone Wars between the Galactic Republic and the Confederacy of Independent Systems. Due to the squad's lack of discipline, the mission resulted in the deaths of all of the squad's clone troopers except for Ganch, who developed a hardened attitude because of the mission.^[1]
