The Skone system was a system in Brak sector of the Expansion Region. It contained the planet Skone II, which was capable of foodstuff production as well as a degree of manufacturing capabilities.[1]

During the Galactic Civil War, the Galactic Empire established an staging area for the Imperial Navy in the system. Due to security concerns, travel to the Skone system required valid permit and harsh penalties were enacted on anyone traveling to the system without authorization. Picket ships and sensor stations were used to patrol the outer edges of the system.[1]

Despite the best efforts of the Imperial Navy, the Alliance to Restore the Republic's Brak Sector Force managed to establish a listening post on Skone II.[1]
