A skitter was a small animal known to infest buildings. The Imperial Governor's Hall on Verkuyl had a skitter problem late in the Galactic Civil War. Skitters could be recognized by the sounds of their squeaks and scurrying claws. They had voracious appetites, said to eat almost anything (though not metal).
