When the Human merchant Mungo Baobab and his companions escaped a slave galley in a lifeboat, the galley's owner, Governor Koong, unleashed a pair of drones to stop them. In the ensuing skirmish over the Roon Sea, Baobab manned the deck laser cannon and shot down the drones. Governor Koong's ship then approached them while a Whirlpool was near the area. Mungo and his friend tossed out all of their cargo, including Mungo's roonstones, in order to escape the whirlpool's pull on their ship.
