A refueling station was single-handedly operated by the Bimm businesswoman Sindee during the reign of the Galactic Empire.[1] Around 15 BBY,[2] she acquired the droids R2-D2 and C-3PO when they were dumped at her refueling station.[1] To help her pass the time, the Bimm taught R2-D2 to play a competent game of dejarik holo-chess.[3] The droids departed when Sindee's gambling addiction led her to lose them in a game of Liar's Cut to the smuggler Zevel Hortine.[1]
Behind the scenes
The refueling station was first mentioned in the 1981 Star Wars radio episode "Rogues, Rebels and Robots."[3] The station was first described in the 2013 StarWars.com blog article "The Droids Re-Animated" by Rich Handley and Abel G. Peña.[1]
