"This is Captain Silverline, Imperial Authoritarian of the Emperor's Navy."
―Captain Silverline[2]

Silverline was a pilot and officer in the Starfighter Corps of the Galactic Empire during the time of the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

"While patrolling Area D-512, we spotted a group of unidentified flying starships. They only spat out threats in response to our friendly hails which resulted in hostile, open fire directed toward us. I lost most of my men to these... hooligans!"
―Captain Silverline[2]

Around the time of the Battle of Yavin, Captain Silverline served in the Naboo system and held the position of Imperial Authoritarian of the Imperial Navy. During a patrol mission in the Area D-512 of the Naboo system, Captain Silverline's squadron was ambushed by a mysterious group of starships and suffered heavy casualties. Silverline was not able to identify the assailants but reported that they were probably droids, piloting starships similar to those used by Hutt smugglers. Furthermore, their leader referred itself as the OT-Violator. This hostile force was code-named Penumbra Omen and the entire quadrant was eventually prohibited to travel.[2] Captain Silverline's emergency report was later intercepted by Fghai'g Windrunner, a pilot of the Royal Naboo Security Forces who considered to explore the Penumbra Omen quadrant.[3]

In 1 ABY,[4] Captain Silverline still served in the Naboo system where he piloted a TIE Oppressor.[1]

  4. The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
