A signal grenade was a colored-smoke producing grenade which was used for alerting the attention of individuals from afar. On the planet Panisia, the Imperial Commander Ellian Zahra used a signal grenade to alert the attention of a Rebel Alliance strike team led by General Leia Organa.^[1]

Behind the scenes

A signal grenade appeared in the twenty-fourth issue of the 2020 Star Wars comic run, written by Charles Soule, penciled by Ramon Rosanas^[1] and published by Marvel Comics on June 8, 2022.^[2]
