Continuity

Dengar is mistakenly referred to as "Zuckass" in this story.

Showdown is the 15th comic strip of the Star Wars comic series written by Archie Goodwin and illustrated by Al Williamson in the early 1980s (and later reprinted in Classic Star Wars 1-20 in the 1990s).

The series was written in a manner showing the stories unfold one after the other without interruption.[2] The novel A New Hope: The Life of Luke Skywalker, which reused content from the comic strips, also presented a direct continuity between the stories.[7] However, Lucasfilm contested this chronology because the existence of Echo Base at the time of the Evacuation of Yavin (in 0 ABY) was in contradiction with other Star Wars sources. Lucasfilm therefore introduced a gap of several years between "Race for Survival" and "The Paradise Detour" (between Classic Star Wars 16 and 17).[2] Accordingly, The Essential Chronology dated Classic Star Wars 17-20 to 2-3 ABY.[8] and other Star Wars material placed the death of Skorr and the last events of the series in 3 ABY.[2][3][4][5][6]
