- "This file appears to have been authored by a Commander Lefix Rovey and goes into great detail regarding ways of exploiting gaps in Imperial military instruction."
- ―Beaumont Kin, The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire
Shortcomings in the Imperial Training Program was a file authored by Commander Lefix Rovey of the Alliance to Restore the Republic. It covered, in great detail, the gaps in the Galactic Empire's military instruction and how these might be exploited by the Alliance, which it identified as the prime beneficiary of the imbalance within the Empire's military hierarchy. The file was stored within the "Military Intelligence" section of the Rebel Alliance Archives and later cited by the historian Beaumont Kin in[1] his[2] book The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire[1] in 35 ABY.[3]
Behind the scenes
Shortcomings in the Imperial Training Program was mentioned in the 2024 reference book Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire, which was written by Dr. Chris Kempshall.[1]

- ↑ Star Wars: The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire states that thirty years have passed since the end of the Galactic Civil War and months have passed since the Battle of Exegol. As Star Wars: Timelines dates the end of the war to 5 ABY and the Battle of Exegol to 35 ABY, the in-universe The Rise and Fall of the Galactic Empire must have been published in 35 ABY.
