A shock controller was a device capable of remotely activating a shock collar. Jabba the Hutt possessed a shock controller that activated the shock collar worn by Leia Organa during her time as one of his slaves. During the rescue of Han Solo on Tatooine, Organa managed to strangle Jabba with her chain, preventing him from reaching the shock controller as she killed him.[1]
