Shind worked as a spaceport Controller on Socorro who was best friends with Fenig Nabon. When Gecee's gang attempted to intercept Fenig after he was knocked unconscious by Ghitsa Dogder. Shind helped Fenig give clearance for takeoff whilst stalling Gecee's ship, and flagging it for a customs inspection.[1]
