Shachu was a giant warrior cursed by a witch in Ewok mythology. "Shachu" was a popular name given to male Ewoks.[1]
Behind the scenes
Shachu was first mentioned in the roleplaying game Galactic Campaign Guide in 2003.[1] The name was later used as the name of randomly generated computer-controlled Ewok characters in the 
Ewok Village on StarWars.com (article) (backup link) game on StarWars.com.[2]
