Seyugi was an astronomical object located in the Seyugi system of the Arrowhead, a region in the Slice portion of the Core Worlds. Seyugi fell within the borders of the Galactic Republic around 22,000 BBY.[1]
The celestial body shared its name with the Seyugi, a culture that at one point existed on the Core Worlds planet Recopia.[2] At some point by 980 BBY,[3] the Seyugi people gave rise to[2] the Force-using cult of assassins known as the Seyugi Dervishes.[4] Eventually, the Seyugi Dervishes spread throughout the Core[2] and established a presence on the astronomical object Seyugi.[1]
Behind the scenes
Seyugi was introduced in the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas, authored by Daniel Wallace and Jason Fry, which placed it in grid square M-11.[1]

Since Bane's death was depicted in Darth Bane: Dynasty of Evil, the events of which The Essential Reader's Companion dates to 980 BBY, the Seyugi Dervishes must have been formed by that date.
