The Servant ion/repulsorlift engine was an engine produced by Ubrikkian Industries. A hybrid ion drive and repulsorlift, the Servant was utilized on the Talon I combat cloud car. Located at the rear of the craft, the engine was slung low and exposed to the air for increased cooling performance. The engine's hybrid design allowed the craft to reach a maximum altitude of 100 kilometers,[1] as well as a maximum speed of 1,500 kilometers per hour.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Servant engine was first mentioned in The Essential Guide to Vehicles and Vessels, a Star Wars Legends reference book written by Bill Smith. The book contained artwork by Doug Chiang and schematics by Troy Vigil, and it was published on March 19, 1996 as part of Del Rey's Essential Guides series.[3]
