Sera Jossi was a Human female who lived on the planet of Kashyyyk during the Galactic Civil War.

Biography

After the Battle of Yavin, Sera Jossi resided in the city of Kachirho where she had an office.^[3] Nevertheless, she did not get into town very often and got her food delivered by the Wookiee Rroow.^[1]

During that time, Jossi and a friend, the Wookiee bio-engineer Cheyerooto, were concerned about a strange new disease afflicting a number of Wookiees.^[2] The illness was marked by deteriorating health, giving rise to a madness which compelled the anguished Wookiees to attack anyone who approached them. As these Wookiees began to become dangerous, the Galactic Empire issued bounties, via bounty officer Stren Colo, for the insane Wookiees. As Jossi considered some sacrifices might be necessary for the overall good, she encouraged a number of spacers to hunt crazy Wookiees and claim the Imperial bounties.^[4] In the meantime, the woman intended to discover the cause of the disease that afflicted the Wookiees.^[2] In 1 ABY,^[5] she tasked a spacer with killing the Wookiee named Wrhisch and collecting his liver. Since the latter was one of the first to come under the sickness and was dying from the decay it caused, Doctor Cheyerooto thought that the liver could be used to identify the disease and develop a cure. Guided by Sera Jossi, the spacer explored an old abandoned village inhabited by the mad Wookiees, found the Wookiee Wrhisch, killed him and collected his liver. The adventurer later delivered Wrhisch's liver to Doctor Cheyerooto.^[2] As expected, the organ from the afflicted Wookiee allowed the bio-engineer to start developing a treatment. Eventually, Dr. Cheyerooto requested the spacer to find rrwii roots to finalize the cure.^[6]
