He was seconded to the Star Destroyer Harrow under the command of Captain Marl Semtin. Septaas was betrayed by Semtin and eventually joined the New Republic.

As is the case with his compatriot Sixtus Quin, Septaas' name seems to be based on Latin numerals, in this case septus "the seventh".
