Selk was a planet[2] that was home to a species. At some point during the Imperial Era, the planet was occupied by the Galactic Empire and a factory was built that poisoned the planet.[1]

Behind the scenes

Selk appeared in "In the Stars," a non-canon short film released as part of the first volume of the Star Wars: Visions series, written and directed by Gabriel Osorio. The animated short, produced by Punkrobot Studios, was released on Disney+[1] on September 22, 2021.[3] While not named in the short, the planet was identified as Selk in the accompanying episode guide on StarWars.com.[2]
