- "General Skywalker is no myth. When I first arrived at court, He was First Bodyguard to the Emperor! It was he who led the Jedi rebellion."
"Sieg Darklighter led the rebellion."
"So the Emperor would have you believe. But I was there." - ―Vantos Coll and Darth Vader
Seig Darklighter was a Jedi, commonly believed to have led the Jedi Rebellion, though the real Jedi commander was Luke Skywalker.[1]
In the second draft, a man named Darklighter, a Padawan, discovers the Bogan and teaches it to a group of pirates named the Sith, forming the Black Knights of the Sith.[2]
Behind the scenes
The name Darklighter was eventually combined with Biggs, the name of a prince and Leia's brother in the rough draft (and Luke's brother in the first draft), to form a new, non-Jedi character named Biggs Darklighter.
