"Wait. Is this section B-17?"
"A-2."
―Kanan Jarrus and a Stormtrooper Commander[1]

Section B-17 was a location inside the Imperial Armory Complex.[1] In 2 BBY,[2] the Spectres Kanan Jarrus and Ezra Bridger feigned guard duty outside Section A2, while they were disguised as a stormtrooper and scout trooper respectively. As they awaited the return of their astromech droid, C1-10P, to exit the section with schematics for the Empire's latest starfighter, a stormtrooper commander and their subordinates cornered them and questioned why they were there. Jarrus claimed they were on guard duty, but the stormtrooper was not convinced. After Bridger told the trooper that they went where they were ordered, the commander approached the rebels, informing them their presence was highly irregular. As the stormtroopers approached, Chopper departed from Section A2 with the stolen schematics of the Defender. Jarrus asked the Stormtrooper Commander if they were at Section B17, to which the stormtrooper confirmed they were by Section A2. Bridger apologized to the commander and claimed they were new transfers who accidently went to the wrong section. However, the stormtrooper was not deterred and they ordered their subordinates to pursue the disguised rebels.[1]

Behind the scenes

Section B17 was first mentioned in "An Inside Man," the tenth episode of Star Wars Rebels season three,[3] which premiered on December 3, 2016.[4]
