The parents of the human female Sear were at least two individuals who died long before^[2] the time between 3 ABY and 4 ABY. During that time,^[1] the fact that Sear's parents were long since passed away was brought up by the droid Ladybright when the Orphans^[2]—a group of warriors^[3] led by^[2] the bounty hunter^[4] Chanath Cha that Sear was part of—spoke about the meaning behind the group's name.^[2]

The parents of Sear was mentioned in the first issue of the 2021 comic miniseries Star Wars: Crimson Reign. The issue was written by Charles Soule and published by Marvel Comics^[2] on December 8, 2021.^[5]
