Scanner-blocking field

A scanner-blocking field was a device installed into starships in order to block detection on scanners. Pax Maripher created a custom scanner-blocking field, which he installed into his freighter Meryx. Maripher and his partner Rahara Wick used the field to hide stolen gemstones aboard the Meryx, but the field could also be extended to cover the entire ship.^[1]
