A large force of the Confederacy military was deployed to invade the planet Saleucami under the command of General Grievous.[1] Afterward, the Confederacy remained on Saleucami with the force, which was supported by a fleet of starships that formed a blockade.[2] The Galactic Republic engaged the Confederacy's forces on Saleucami in a battle of the Outer Rim Sieges, which ended in Republic victory.[3]
Behind the scenes
The Saleucami force was first depicted in the 2005 film Star Wars: Episode III Revenge of the Sith in the form of wreckage leftover from the Siege of Saleucami.[3] The French release of the encyclopedia booklet "Mustafar and Other Planets in the Outer Rim" established it to be a large force that carried out the invasion of Saleucami.[1] Instead of being in the English release of "Mustafar and Other Outer Rim Planets,"[5] the booklet's section on Saleucami was moved to "Scarif and Other Planets in the Outer Rim," which additionally alerted the text to frame it as a large force stationed as the Saleucami occupation force.[2] This article assumes the two military forces to be the same unit because they steam from the same paragraph.
