The Sadow escarpment was a rocky, gray[2] escarpment on the Unknown Regions planet Exegol, an ancient Sith redoubt covered in barren rock and desert flats.[1] The escarpment was named in honor of the ancient Sith Lord Naga Sadow.[3] The escarpment was included on a map of Exegol produced by the artist Gammit Chond, which was included in an updated edition of the Galactic Atlas book published by the Graf Archive at some point after the Battle of Exegol in 35 ABY. The map depicted the escarpment as close to the Sith Citadel on Exegol, although it was not geographically reliable.[2]
Behind the scenes
The Sadow escarpment was introduced in the 2019 reference book Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker: The Visual Dictionary, written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
