Saberhing was a planet in the Corellian sector which manufactured starships. Han Solo and Chewbacca worked as mechanics in a factory on Saberhing before becoming smugglers when Han was 20 years old.

Behind the scenes

It originated in unused background material developed by George Lucas for Han Solo's biography. However, the unused backstory is referred to as in-universe rumors in The Essential Atlas.
