Saber 4 was an Imperial Navy TIE/IN interceptor[2] which was manufactured by Sienar Fleet Systems.[1] The interceptor was part of the Imperial 181st Imperial Fighter Wing's Saber Squadron[2] by 4 ABY,[3] and piloted by DS-181-4,[2] who served as the wingman of Major Turr Phennir,[4] also from Saber Squadron.[5] Saber 4 was often assigned to fly in a reserve position in battle, and bore a bloodstripe representing at least 10 kills made by DS-181-4.[2]
In 4 ABY,[6] DS-181-4 fought in the Battle of Endor,[7] where Alliance to Restore the Republic starfighters attempted to destroy the Empire's Death Star II battle station with TIE pilots defending the Death Star from the Alliance starfighters. The battle ended in an Imperial defeat and the Death Star's destruction.[8]
