The SF-12 capacitor component was produced by BlasTech Industries during the the Galactic War between the Galactic Republic and the reconstituted Sith Empire. The SF-12 increased a starship's rate of fire by feeding energy into both the weapons and augmented cooling systems, and had a reputation for being reliable and safe.
