SE-5 was an SE-2 worker droid manufactured on[1] the planet[5] Affa[1] by Cybot Galactica.[2] The worker droid had white plating, black sensors,[1] and stood 1.79 meters tall.[3] During the First Order occupation of the planet Batuu[1] in 34 ABY,[6] the droid served as a pilot for the criminal Finto Gang. A 675-credit bounty posted on SE-5 listed its crimes as attempted theft, damage of property belonging to[1] the antiques dealer[7] Dok-Ondar, counterfeiting, spaceport property damage, and theft of ship parts and cargo.[1]
The bounty on SE-5 was assigned to a visitor to Black Spire Outpost on Batuu by the Bounty Hunters' Guild. Using a thermal scanner, the visitor then tracked down SE-5 while it was hiding in one of the buildings of the outpost. They then reported the droid's location to the local Guildmaster's Hideout and collected the reward.[1]
Behind the scenes
SE-5 appeared as part of Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters, an augmented reality video game launched at Walt Disney World[1] on July 27, 2022.[8] The image used to represent SE-5[1] is a reused promotional image of the droid Essie,[9] who appeared in the 2016 Anthology Series film, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.[4]
