The SAGroup was a sub-branch and youth program of the Commission for the Protection of the Republic (COMPOR). Venthan Chassu, a member of SAGroup and supporter of Supreme Chancellor Sheev Palpatine, created the propaganda poster Do Not Bind His Hands.[1]

In the aftermath of the Galactic Republic's reformation as the Galactic Empire, COMPOR was reorganized into the Commission for the Preservation of the New Order (COMPNOR). Like its predecessor, COMPNOR had a youth program—the Sub-Adult Group, also known as SAGroup.[1]
