Roy Grinnell (1933-2019)[1] was an artist who collaborated for the 2010 book Star Wars Art: Visions.[2] His piece, entitled "Wait... The Droid Just Wants to Say Hello," was first drawn as an initial conceptual study, and later turned into an original painting purchased by George Lucas for his collection.[3]

He was also interviewed for the feature "The Art Side of the Force," for Star Wars Insider 130.[4]
