"Rowi's memory is still cherished by our people. He knew every herb in the mountains. He passed on his potions to Elan."
―Domi[2]

Rowi was a male healer who was one of the hill people, the exiled residents of the planet Gala who opposed the Galacian monarchy. He was the adoptive father of Elan, who was the biological daughter of fellow hill person Tema and her husband King Cana of the Beju-Tallah dynasty. Highly skilled at healing, Rowi was regarded by the hill person elder Domi to have healing hands. He knew every herb in the mountains of Gala and taught his potions to Elan. He died[2] by 44 BBY,[1] and his memory was cherished by his people.[2]

When Elan learned of her heritage as the daughter of the former King of Gala and reclaimed her position as Princess, she was urged to take on her biological family's name. Cana's second wife, Queen Veda, expected that she would take the Tallah name, but add it to Rowi and Tema's name.[2]

Behind the scenes

Rowi was first mentioned in the 1999 novel Jedi Apprentice: The Mark of the Crown by Jude Watson, the fourth installment of the Jedi Apprentice junior novel series.[2]
