A root-mouse was a type of mouse that squeaked. During the Wookiee holiday of Life Day one year, when the Wookiee Chewbacca removed a luma-bulb illumination device from the ceiling of his starship, the Millennium Falcon, it sounded like a root-mouse's squeaks.[1]
