A Gungan family on the planet Naboo had an extended history of military service, with each male member participating in the Gungan Grand Army in some capacity. Roos Tarpals was the first member of the family to reach the rank of captain in the Grand Army, and as such became a hero to his clan. Tarpals downplayed his accomplishments and believed he was only performing his duties.[1] Tarpals was killed on Naboo while aiding the capture of the Separatist General Grievous[2] in 21 BBY.[3]
Behind the scenes
Roos Tarpals' family was mentioned in that characters entry in the DataBank of the 2001 LucasArts video game Star Wars: Galactic Battlegrounds.[1]
