Rogue 1[2] was an Incom Corporation[1] modified T-47 snowspeeder. Assigned to Rogue Squadron,[2] the vehicle was stationed at the Alliance's Echo Base on the ice planet Hoth.[4] Rogue 1 was assigned to be piloted by Rogue Leader Commander Luke Skywalker with Dak Ralter serving as tailgunner.[2]

During the Battle of Hoth, Rogue 1 led the Alliance's snowspeeder counterattack[2] against the Galactic Empire's force of All Terrain Armored Transports.[4] Ralter was killed when the craft took a glancing hit from enemy weapons fire, and the snowspeeder was eventually shot down by an Imperial walker. Skywalker managed to escape from the downed craft before the walker crushed the vehicle with one of its armored feet.[4]
