The Rock Beetle Refuge was an area in the Dune Sea of Tatooine where a large population of rock beetles lived. During the Galactic Civil War, Porcellus hired a spacer to go to this location in order to kill several rock beetles and bring him their carcasses to cook beetle broth for Jabba the Hutt.[1]

The Rock Beetle Refuge was a location in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[2] The Rock Beetle Refuge was added to the game as part of the revamped "Jabba's Theme Park,"[1] released with the "Publish 25," a.k.a. the "New Game Enhancements," on November 15, 2005.[3]
