Robert Townson is the producer of many soundtracks for Varese Sarabande, and in 1996 had worked with Joel McNeely in the Shadows of the Empire soundtrack.

Biography

For Lucasfilm, Robert Townson produced the recordings for The Young Indiana Jones Chronicles tv series, and also discussed with Lucy Autrey Wilson about a possible soundtrack for the Thrawn Trilogy by Timothy Zahn, but eventually utilized the concept for the Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire multimedia project, and producing a soundtrack for the novelization's storyline. He hired Joel McNeely and met to discuss the storyline's mood and grandeur, the dominant themes and what had to be composed.[1]
